In collaboration with Mackenzie Abbott Dressage, this facility is intended to facilitate and foster the development of high-level dressage horses and riders but to also encourage all levels of riders to understand and appreciate the underlying tenets of the sport. The basics of dressage will prepare riders to pursue any discipline or recreational path they choose. Solace is a family oriented, inclusive and supportive environment to love horses and embrace the magic they bring to our lives.”

Arena
The indoor arena is 80x220 feet and so contains a full size dressage court. The arena is heated to a comfortable riding temperature irregardless of the outside weather. The combination of natural light, extra high ceilings and overhead lighting create a bright, airy environment for riding.

Safety Wall
The safety wall is constructed of the highest quality shock absorbing synthetic materials. This is both aesthetically pleasing and extremely safe for horses and riders.

Tack Room
The tack room at Solace Stables is open and bright with custom ash saddle racks to store your saddle and pads. Premium bridle hooks keep your bridles neat with proper support for crown pieces. Boot racks are provided for boots, helmets and gloves. There is space in the grooming area for you to keep a trunk with your grooming tools, wraps, polos and boots.

Stalls
Our beautiful System Equine stalls have a European inspired design with swing out Dutch doors. Our stalls are 12x14 feet giving horses space to move around and stretch out. Each stall has Nelson automatic waterers and Nelson steel feed bowls with privacy walls so there is no food anxiety between horses. The stalls have fully rubber matted floors and a rubber matted back wall for the safety of those who like to roll. The stable is heated with an in floor heating system and every consideration has gone into fresh air intakes, exhaust fans and C02 monitors to ensure optimal air quality.

Footing
The footing is a mixture of premium sand and fibre maintained and dragged daily. The base has been scrupulously engineered to create a supportive and cushioned ground so you can be assured of an exceptional riding experience.

Grooming Area
Solace provides 5 generous rubber matted cross ties so multiple riders and horses can be working easily at the same time. With cross ties located in their own space hallways are always free and clear to facilitate movement. The grooming area has space for all riders to store their equipment in trunks. There is a large indoor wash rack with hot and cold running water so baths are accessible all year

Solarium
The Vitafloor MaXuSS 230 Equine Solarium is one of our favourites. This unit employs 22 infrared lights, 2 UV lights, 9 LED lights and 6 circulation fans. Therapeutic light exposure has various benefits. It can be used to stimulate blood flow to loosen and warm the horse before exercise. Light therapy also promotes muscle healing and recovery, helps disperse lactic acid after rigorous activity and promotes natural vitamin D3 production. The solarium can reduce drying time following exercise or baths.

Equivibe
EquiVibe is the only American made therapy plate that uses vertical vibration for full body maintenance and rehab. Unlike other forms of vibration, EquiVibe saves joints from stress like rolling and twisting so that your horse can get better faster and stay better longer. Designed with Whole Body Vertical Vibration to reduce muscle soreness and inflammation while increasing bone density, EquiVibe really gets the blood pumping. Improved circulation means better oxygenation of the tissues, removal of toxins and of metabolic waste. To rein things in: it enhances the body’s ability to heal itself, drug free – because when your horse feels how they should, the rest comes naturally.

Paddocks
There are six smaller turnout paddocks and several large paddocks. All turnouts are seperated for the safety of the horses. The fencing is beautiful black steel four rail Buckley Fence. This system was created so that under impact the rails will bend, the fence will buckle and release from the posts with no breakage or splinters, preventing serious injury to our horses.

Outdoor Arena
The fenced outdoor arena is 100x240 feet and contains a premium sand footing with a highly engineered base and drainage system so you can safely ride outside even after a rainy day.

The Property
Solace Stables is located minutes from the city yet is situated on 100 acres of beautiful farmland. The property is directly adjacent to the Trans-Canada Trail on which you can hack out for miles.

Assessment Lessons $120.00+GST
1 Session Limit - Includes horse rental and coach fee
An introductory session designed to evaluate a riders current skill level and abilities. During this session one of our instructors will observe the riders techniques, strengths and areas for improvement. This assessment will help us place a rider with the appropriate Coach, and Equine partner. This type of session is essential for newcomers to identify their starting point, and for experienced riders to address specific challenges within their riding.
Discover Dressage Program $158.00-$183.00+GST/Session
1 lesson per week - Pricing varies depending on Certification Level of Coach
A structured program for beginner to intermediate riders designed to enhance a riders skills and understanding of Dressage. Lessons focus on foundations of riding and core principals of Dressage. This program is designed to systematically develop a student’s skills through progressive learning. In the Discover Dressage program we aim to build and understanding of Dressage and a well rounded-rider.
Dare to Dressage Program $153.00-178.00+GST/Session
2-3 Weekly Training Sessions - Pricing varies depending on Certification Level of Coach
The Dare to Dressage program has been developed to cater to the intermediate rider surpassing once a week lessons and stepping into the next stage of their equestrian journey. Riders at this stage are introduced to competition preparation and given the opportunity to show and compete locally. Riding multiple times a week deepens the relationship between horses and riders cultivating a stronger partnership and fostering confidence that will carry riders into the world of competition.
Dedicate to Dressage Program $148.00-173.00+GST/Session
3-5 Weekly Training Sessions Pricing varies depending on Certification Level of Coach
The Dedicate to Dressage program concentrates on equestrians who have a foundational understanding and competence and are progressing toward higher levels of competition. This program aims to empower riders to reach their competitive goals while fostering an appreciation for the sport and their equine partners. This program introduces riders to educational opportunities beyond routine sessions.
Dream of Dressage Youth Program $100.00+GST/Session
1 session per week
The Dream of Dressage program is a weekly youth-focused lesson program designed to inspire future equestrians. This program utilizes smaller mounts appropriate for riders under the age of 8. Our instructors prioritize safety and confidence building providing close supervision, age appropriate equipment and a controlled environment to ensure the wellbeing of the young riders. The lessons aim to cultivate an appreciation and respect for horses, encouraging youth to develop a lifelong passion for the equestrian world.School horse rental is $92.50 + GST per lesson. This fee includes premium horses and top of the line tack. There are package fees for multiple lessons per week. If the rider is interested in riding in competitions it is recommended that they ride at least twice per week. This does not include coaching fees which will be determined by individual coaches.

Solace Stables offers personalized training options for our boarding clients, with sessions designed to support your riding goals, whether you're focused on Dressage fundamentals, competition preparation, or ongoing development.
Our experienced coaching team provides one-on-one instruction tailored to you and your horse. Session rates range from $65 to $90, depending on the coach.
