Grand Prix Rider | Equestrian Canada High Performance Coach | Head Trainer & Manager

Mackenzie is the Head Trainer and Manager of Solace Stables, bringing together high-performance sport experience, thoughtful horsemanship, and a genuine passion for developing both horses and riders.

An accomplished Grand Prix dressage rider and Equestrian Canada High Performance Coach, Mackenzie has established herself internationally as both a competitor and coach. She was named Equestrian Canada Coach of the Year in 2024 and continued her competitive success in 2025, finishing the season ranked #1 in Canada in the Intermediate II division and 2nd overall in the Medium Tour.

A significant part of Mackenzie’s experience has been developing horses through the levels herself. She has trained horses from the starting process through to the FEI Levels, giving her extensive firsthand experience in the long-term development of young horses into successful athletes. This foundation continues to shape her approach to training, prioritizing correct basics, confidence, sound progression, and the individual needs of each horse.

She works with riders ranging from those beginning their dressage education to ambitious competitive athletes. Mackenzie believes great coaching goes beyond simply riding through movements. Her goal is to help riders understand the why behind their training so they can become more independent, effective, and confident horse people.

As a Grand Prix competitor herself, Mackenzie continues to pursue her own development at the highest levels of the sport. In 2026, she and Fearless completed their first season competing at Grand Prix, including their first Grand Prix Special, earning qualification and an invitation to compete at the Canadian National Dressage Championships.

At Solace Stables, Mackenzie oversees the training program and day to day management of the facility and horses. Her approach centres around exceptional horse care, a supportive and professional team environment, and creating a facility where riders at every level are encouraged to take their goals seriously.

Whether a rider’s ambition is to compete, progress through the levels, develop a young horse, or simply become a more knowledgeable and effective partner for their horse, Mackenzie is committed to helping each combination build a program that supports their goals.
